Newsletter March 14, 2025

Dear Cornerstone Family:

We are giving thanks to God that the current phase of parking lot construction is nearing its end! There is ongoing work, as the rest of the parking lot will be striped and landscaping will begin around the property. Please continue to navigate all the new steps, sidewalks, and pathways all over campus with care and caution. It's helpful to remember that this is a campus improvement plan, and we are looking forward to the next phase involving work on the landscape all around the property. One part of the campus improvement plan that we are really excited about is the playground! As we begin to enjoy the spring weather and use the playground, please keep the following in mind:

  • There are signs coming soon that will give some helpful guidance for playground safety, but they are not in place yet.

  • Children must be supervised at all times while on the playground.

  • Children must also be supervised while crossing the parking lot to the playground.

  • There is a swing that is an ADA-accessible wheelchair platform swing. Please do not use it for other purposes. We look forward to the opportunity to share our playground with those who are affected by disabilities.

  • A tip from a parent is to wear "closed-toe shoes" on the playground, as the mulchy surface is good for a lot of things, but not for bare feet or sandals.

  • We do have a security camera positioned towards the playground.

We will continue to pass on more information about the campus improvement plan in the weeks to come.
I look forward to seeing you Sunday as we worship our God together and begin to study the Lord's Prayer in our sermon series.
