Newsletter March 7, 2025

Dear Church Family and Friends,

This has been a week in the life of our church family where we both celebrate new life and mourn the loss of loved ones. These are the experiences we should expect in the body of Christ. It is also one of the things I love about our church community. The Lord has blessed us with a diverse body with members who are days old to nearly one hundred years old!

This week we welcomed Gideon Colette to our church family! Please pray for the Colettes as they adjust to life with their new son. Children are a heritage from the Lord! (Psalm 127:3)

This week we also mourn with those who mourn. Our dear brother Earl Myers is now in the presence of our Savior. After a long bout with lung failure and heart disease, he is now completely healed. "'Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.' 'Blessed indeed,' says the Spirit, 'that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them!’” (Revelation 14:13 ESV) Read more about Earl's life here

Please also be praying for the Kimbrough family. Mark and Robbie's son-in-law passed away this past week after a long bout with cancer. Pray for strength and comfort for their daughter, Sarah, and family. "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us." (2 Corinthians 1:3-4 ESV) Learn more about Austin's life here

This Sunday, we will celebrate the Lord's Supper. The Westminster Confession of Faith reminds us that the sacraments "represent Christ, and his benefits" to us. Let us prepare our hearts.

by His grace and to His praise,
