Pastor's Corner - Unity

Dear Friends,

Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!”(Psalm 133:1 ESV)

These past few weeks have been a wonderful display of unity as scores of you have shown up at 1413 McClung Avenue to clean, paint, trim, declutter and countless other unnamed activities. Thank you. It has been such a blessing to serve together, fellowship together and experience God's provision together. This opportunity to relocate to a new facility has been a wonderful opportunity for us to come together and move the mission that God has for us forward.

There has been a lot of activity going on at the facility that I wanted to tell you about. Here are some things that have happened over the last week. Lord willing, the giant beams in the sanctuary are being removed by contractors in order to begin beautify our new worship space. Repairs are being made to the gym roof to stop leaks. Lighting is being modified inside and outside both buildings to make them operable and more energy efficient. Network infrastructure is being installed for communications and security. Priming has has begun on the second floor to prepare the walls for a fresh coat in the future. These are just some of the things being accomplished ... there is still more work to be done! Please be in prayer for the safety of volunteers and contractors as they work around the facility.

Also, we have been sending out via email opportunities for you to serve. Be on the lookout for more work days. Also, be watching for ways you can stop by the new church and help with odd jobs during the week if you have time.

All of this is a reminder of two things we have been praying and must continue to pray:“Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.” (Psalm 127:1 ESV)“Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands!” (Psalm 90:17 ESV)

See you Sunday!
