Pastor's Corner - Our Hope is in a Savior!

Dear Friends,I heard a quote this week from Pastor Mark Dever that I wanted to share with you: “Before and after America, there was and will be the church. The nation is an experiment. The church is a certainty.”I believe this sentiment is an appropriate biblical mindset that Christians should have during this presidential election season. Our hope is not in America. Our hope is not in a president. Our hope is not in people. Our hope is in a Savior - one who is seated on the throne of the universe, ruling and reigning over His Church and interceding for the saints of God. That is our hope! With that in mind, let us pray for our leaders. Let us pray for our country. But most of all, let us pray for the church - that we would be..."“a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.”  (1 Peter 2:9 ESV)May God help us to be so! See you Sunday!Your friend and pastor,Wilson
