Pastor's Corner - Establish The Work of our Hands

Dear Friends,
Last week was a momentous time in the life of Cornerstone as we launched ABOUNDING: in Christ, for the city. If you were unable to join us, I want to share some resources with you.

First, the ABOUNDING website is up and running and has been refreshed in a major way. Please visit CornerstoneAbounding.org to view all the latest renderings of the new building, videos, FAQs and much more! I'm very proud of the team that worked hard on this website to tell the story of Cornerstone and our future. This website is a great resource to share with your friends, neighbors and family.

Second, if you were unable to join us for the launch of ABOUNDING this past Sunday, we invite you to watch the worship servicewatch the informational meeting, and listen to the sermon ABOUNDING in Mission.

Third, in the narthex, outside the sanctuary, we have an ABOUNDING kiosk. This will be a place where you and visitors can pick up information on ABOUNDING and also get new resources that will be available each Sunday.

Fourth, below are some Scriptures to help guide our prayers during this time. “Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.”  (Colossians 2:6–7 ESV)“Blessed are you, O Lord, the God of Israel our father, forever and ever. Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all. Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. In your hand are power and might, and in your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all. And now we thank you, our God, and praise your glorious name."  (1 Chronicles 29:10–13 ESV)“Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands!”  (Psalm 90:17 ESV)“Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.”  (Psalm 127:1 ESV)“Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce; then your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will be bursting with wine.”  (Proverbs 3:9–10 ESV)I am thankful for this season that God has called us to ABOUND for Him. Please continue to pray.

Abounding in Christ.
