Pastor's Corner - Davila Visit

Dear Friends,
On a personal note, I looked up at the calendar recently and realized that we have been Huntsville residents for over a year now! Audrey, the children and I are thankful for how you have welcomed us and are glad to be part of the Cornerstone family. On Wednesday nights, we are continuing to gather for Foundations each week. There is a wonderful meal, catechism classes for children, and a discipleship time for students and adults. In the adult class, we’ve been discussing “Apologetics: Defending the Faith and Loving Your Neighbor.” This past week, we had the privilege of hosting Rodney and Jana Davila, who are MTW missionaries to Costa Rica. The Davilas shared an update of their ministry and then we had a Q&A time with them about what apologetics looks like in Costa Rica. Their ministry includes mentoring, training leaders through a seminary, helping launch a counseling ministry, youth camps, ESL classes (English as a Second Language), and assisting in church planting efforts throughout Costa Rica. Whew! That sounds like a full plate, doesn’t it? We are thankful that we can partner with the Davilas and are excited to hear how God is at work through them and others in Costa Rica. Please pray for them as you have the opportunity. You can learn more about the Davilas at the following links:https://www.mtw.org/missionaries/details/rodney-and-jana-davilahttp://www.empoweringcostarica.com/index.html
See you Sunday!Blessings,Brian
