Pastor's Corner

Dear Church Family,

I wanted to share with you the things that we learned about trusting God from Psalm 56 this past week. I shared eight reasons given to us in Psalm 56 for why we are to trust God. The reasons point us back to basic, biblical theology that we must believe about God -- that He is sovereign, that He is infinitely wise, and that He is loving. Let me encourage you to open God's Word and see the truths for yourself in Psalm 56.
  1. We can trust God because we can pray to Him (v.1)
  2. We can trust God because He knows our fear (v.3)
  3. We can trust God because of His Word (vv.4, 10)
  4. We can trust God because man does not compare to God (v.4c)
  5. We can trust God because evil does not have the last word (vv.5-7)
  6. We can trust God because He knows our tossing and our tears (v.8)
  7. We can trust God because He is for you and me (v.9b)
  8. We can trust God because past deliverances are indicative of future promises (v.13)
What other things do you see in God's Word to help us trust Him?

I'm Looking forward to worshiping and learning again with you all this Sunday!

By His grace and to His praise,

Pastor Wilson

P.S. We will observe Communion this Sunday.
