And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.  (Acts 2:42 ESV)

Dear Church Family and Friends,

Acts 2:42 has long served as a vision for who we want to be as a church. Embedded in these great devotions of a local church is the apostles' teaching. Discipleship and teaching God's Word are core values of who we are as a local church. We affirm the sufficiency of scripture and view the Bible as the infallible and inspired word of God. Therefore, we are always looking for ways to bring biblical instruction to the body here at Cornerstone.

Years ago, the elders saw an opportunity for us to increase our effort to teach and disciple at Cornerstone, so we started a Wednesday night ministry that we named FOUNDATIONS. The idea was that this would be an opportunity for us between Sundays to gather mid-week for fellowship and teaching. We have strived to make this time meaningful and accessible for the entire church family.

Unfortunately, we had to pause this program for the fall due to construction and renovation. Now that we are several weeks into the church remodeling project, we are beginning to learn the rhythms and safety measures we must take to continue the ministry and navigate the disrupted areas of our building. Therefore, we are attempting a modified and shortened FOUNDATIONS class beginning September 20th.

Please be on the lookout for more details. For now, we are planning some light refreshments and fellowship at the beginning, followed by discipleship opportunities for children, youth, and adults. FOUNDATIONS will run for six weeks on Wednesdays, with a break on October 18th.

Thank you for your prayers and patience as we adjust our worship and discipleship routines. Already, you can see how these renovations will be a blessing to our congregation when they are finished. Please continue to pray!

See you Sunday!

by His grace and to His praise,
