Dear Church Family and Friends,

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen. (2 Peter 3:18 ESV)

One of the primary callings that we have in the Christian life is to grow in our relationship with Jesus. Being a disciple of Christ means following Him in our daily lives and seeking to know Him more and more every day. One of the reasons the local church exists is to help us do this in community. One of the core values of Cornerstone is discipleship. We seek to accomplish this in a variety of ways which includes: Sunday School, preaching, men's and women's Bible study, and youth group, just to name a few.

An important ministry that we started years ago to help facilitate more opportunities for discipleship is called FOUNDATIONS. This is an opportunity on Wednesday evenings for us to gather mid-week as a church family between Sundays. This Fall, we are having a modified FOUNDATIONS schedule due to renovations and construction. We will begin a six-week FOUNDATIONS program on Wednesday, September 20th. I hope you and your family can join us. For now, we are planning some light refreshments and fellowship at the beginning, followed by discipleship opportunities for children, youth, and adults. The discipleship opportunities will be:

  • The Children (elementary school) will be studying the catechism and learning the basics of the faith.

  • The Youth (7th-12th grade) will be studying the Attributes of God.

  • The Adults will have one class in the gym/sanctuary and will be studying The Doctrines of Grace: How Calvinism Points Us To the Heart of Christ.

Please consider joining us this Fall as we worship, grow, and serve together.

See you Sunday!

by His grace and to His praise,

Pastor Wilson
