Dear Church Family and Friends,

It's happening! After all the prayers, all the waiting, and all the planning ... it is finally happening! The Session approved a project bid this past week to begin remodeling the main church building. Although you may not see a lot of progress in the next few weeks, rest assured that pre-construction work and planning are beginning. The church office and worship space has been moved to the Family Life Center where we will begin worship THIS Sunday, August 6th.

Below is some very helpful information that Pastor Brian compiled to help us all this Sunday. Please read it carefully so that we are all prepared for these changes.

Please also continue to pray! Here are some specific ways:

  • That this project will help us fulfill our mission to glorify God and grow as followers of Christ.

  • That we would have a spirit of patience and flexibility during this time.

  • That God would grant wisdom to our leaders who steward this project.

  • That God would protect the workers involved in the project.

  • That God would use this project for His kingdom purposes.

Please also continue to pray for the parking lot expansion efforts. There is much wisdom and lots of planning involved in coming up with the right plan that makes the most sense but also meets city code. Pray for the civil engineers and building committee as they proceed forward.

I'm looking forward to worshiping with you Sunday and I look forward to hearing the reports from the summer mission teams.

by His grace and to His praise,

Information for this Sunday’s Worship Service in the FLC

We are looking forward to a season of worshipping in the Family Life Center beginning this Sunday, August 6th, as the main building undergoes renovations.

Here are a few instructions for Sunday:

  • Worship services will take place at 8:30 AM and 11:00 AM.

  • This week, there will be a joint Sunday School for all ages in the Family Life Center as we hear reports from the Joni & Friends and Yakama Teams.

  • The nursery will still be in the main building. Parents, please enter at the entrance on the far side of the main building. The lobby/narthex is available as a way to "pass through" from the FLC and get to that entrance. There will be deacons present in the main building throughout the morning to assist you.

  • There will be designated parking for those with mobility issues close to the Family Life Center. There will be a parking lot attendant to help guide you to those spaces. The Family Life Center has an accessible ramp to go into the building as well as a ramp inside to get from the lobby area to the gym.

  • The hospitality time will take place in the Family Life Center lobby after the first service and coffee will be available there. You are welcome to bring coffee into the gym.

  • There is a room available in the Family Life Center with rocking chairs if there are restless little ones during the service. This room is set up for children 4 and under, who must be accompanied by a parent in the room.

  • On August 13th, we intend to resume Sunday School as normal. There will be a few room changes. The Pathfinders class will remain in the Family Life Center during Sunday School. The Builders class will move downstairs to the Fellowship Hall (right beside the nursery). The New Members class will be upstairs in the Builders class. All other classroom assignments will remain the same.

If you have questions, please feel free to contact us.
