Dear Cornerstone Family:
"On the road again" by Willie Nelson might be the song to describe the next few weeks here at Cornerstone. Our Joni and Friends team is returning from their week of service at Camp McDowell in Nauvoo, AL. In two weeks, another mission team will head across the country to the Yakama Indian Reservation to serve with Sacred Road Ministries. Please continue to pray for these teams and these mission partners.
In between those two trips, a group of 25 high school students and leaders will be going to the RYM (Reformed Youth Ministries) conference at the Laguna Beach Christian Retreat Center in Panama City Beach, FL. This is Cornerstone's initial voyage to RYM, but RYM has been around for a long time, over 50 years! What started as a small gathering of a few churches in 1972 has now grown into multiple conferences with thousands of students all over the US, an established training conference for youth ministry leaders, and an abundance of resources for youth ministry. The heartbeat of RYM is to come alongside churches in the discipleship of high school and middle school students. The conference is an intense week of learning from God's Word, through the worship services, elective classes, group discussion and individual reflection time. There is also a beautiful beach right there, and an abundance of activities for the students to enjoy together. We will be there from July 10-15.
Pray for our group, as well as for the leadership of RYM. Although this will be the first time going to RYM for Cornerstone, this will actually be my 12th trip to RYM! I initially went as a college student leader in 1999, and then was there from 2006-2015 while serving at my previous church. I also greatly benefited from RYM youth leader training for several years once that began. The theme of this year's conference is "Always Faithful", and God has certainly been faithful to work through the ministry of RYM in my own life and the lives of countless students.

Church Office Closed - Tuesday, July 4th, in observance of Independence Day.
New Members Class - Begins Sunday, August 6th, during the Sunday School hour in the Family Life Center. The class will be for 6 weeks. This is an opportunity to learn more about Cornerstone and to pursue membership. Please email office@cornerstonehuntsville.org to register.
