Dear Church Family and Friends,

Yesterday we said goodbye as a staff to Paige McClure. Please join me in thanking Paige for her five and half wonderful years of service to our children and families. We are grateful for how the Lord has used her to make disciples here at Cornerstone. Paige will now move on to her new ministry of spending more time with her children as they are now all youth age and in college. The McClures will still be around serving at Cornerstone.

The Lord is good and He is always working and calling his people. In the midst of this transition time with our children's ministry, the Lord laid on Mary Cooper's heart a desire to serve the children's ministry. Therefore we are excited that Mary responded to the call and she has now joined our staff team as the Interim Children's Ministry Coordinator. Mary grew up in the Mississippi Delta where she attended Delta State University, met her husband, and graduated with a teaching degree. Daniel and Mary have three wonderful children. Mary loves spending time with her family at home, good books, dogs, and meeting new people. The Coopers have been a part of Cornerstone since 2015.

Again, continuing all this theme of God providing, He has also raised up someone to serve as our new Communications Assistant, Emily Boggs. Emily will begin July 5th. Spending most of her childhood in Huntsville, Emily proudly calls it her home. She graduated from the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) in 2022 with a marketing degree and worked as a Marketing Manager for an industrial machinery distributor before joining Cornerstone. Her and her husband, Jared, met in college at UAH through their college ministry, Cru. They got married in 2021 and have an adorable cat named Lily. Jared and Emily helped plant Worthy Redeemer Church and have been active members since 2021. Outside of work and church, Emily loves to spend time with family and friends, watch a great show or movie, cook delicious meals with Jared, and spend time outdoors.

Please join me in welcoming Mary and Emily to our staff team. May I humbly ask you to pray for our staff team. Pray for wisdom, a spirit of humility, and confidence as we serve the saints at Cornerstone and facilitate ministry in the body.

Please also continue to pray for our officers, staff, and facility teams as we anticipate renovations and construction beginning on the building and grounds by the end of the summer. The biggest change is that we will be relocating our worship services to the Family Life Center for a season while renovations take place in the sanctuary, bathrooms, and gathering areas.

Please also pray for our Joni and Friends Mission team. 47 members of Cornerstone will be headed out to camp McDowell to serve all week. Pray for strength, protection, and wisdom to serve this week.

See you Sunday!

by His grace and to His praise,
Pastor Wilson
