Dear Church Family and Friends,

Greetings from Memphis! Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. As I write this it is Thursday morning and General Assembly will conclude either late this evening or Friday morning. It has been a celebratory week as our denomination celebrates 50 years! A jubilee celebration!

There have been some great resources and remembrances to celebrate this joyous occasion. I wanted to share a few of those below:

  • check out the PCA50.org website

  • read the address of the first moderator of the first Generals Assembly's message by Jack Williamson (an Alabamian, and he was my polity professor!)

  • finally, I highly encourage you to watch/listen to Dr. Randy Thompson's sermon from Tuesday evening on Lamentation 3. It was a great blessing. Randy from our own Providence Presbytery,

I look forward to being with you in worship on Sunday. Our study in the psalms have been so nourishing to me ... it is my hope that they are for you as well.

"Let the righteous one rejoice in the LORD and take refuge in him! Let all the upright in heart exult!" - Psalm 64:10

by His grace and to His praise,
Pastor Wilson
