Dear Cornerstone Family:
This week Cornerstone is doing two Vacation Bible Schools. Yes, you read that right! One will be here at Cornerstone and the other will be part of the work of the Yakama Mission Team as they partner with Sacred Road Ministries on the Yakama Indian Reservation.
We encourage you to pray for our VBS volunteers and for the children who attend this week as they learn about how the story of Joshua points us to Jesus. We also invite you to donate items for the Forgotten Initiative, as we will be partnering with them during VBS to collect items for Birthday Boxes for children in foster care (see the announcement below for more details).
Please also pray for the Yakama team as they travel, work construction, help with the children's ministry there, and proclaim Jesus in word and deed.
Sunday we will continue in our Psalm series with Pastor John preaching on Psalm 74. This is one of the longer Psalms we'll be looking at this summer, so we encourage you to read ahead in preparation for worship on Sunday.

Open Positions at Lincoln Village Ministry - Our local missional partner, Lincoln Village, is currently hiring for three open positions. Please visit their employment page here to view the job descriptions and apply.
Foster Care Birthday Boxes - Our children's ministry is partnering with The Forgotten Initiative this year to build Birthday Boxes for children in foster care in Madison County. We will be collecting the following items that will be assembled on the last day of VBS: boxed cake mix, icing, candles, and paper birthday plates. Please drop off donated items in the designated box in the Gathering Room.
Northeast AL FCA Summer Camps & Events - Northeast AL FCA has several ways for students to get active in a Christ-centered environment through their summer athletic camps and leadership conferences. Please click here to learn more about these events and register your child.
Women’s Summer Bible Study - Join us on Tuesdays from 9:30- 11 am or Wednesdays from 6:30-8 PM for a 7-session study of Colossians with Truthfilled by Ruth Chou Simons. Begins June 11 and ends July 23. Nursery is available for infants through age 4. Register here.
2024 Reformer’s Cup Golf Tournament is Postponed - The Annual Reformer’s Cup Golf Tournament scheduled for Saturday, June 8th is postponed. New dates and times will be posted as soon as possible.
Manna House Serve Days - There is a great opportunity to plug in and serve the community with Cornerstone folks on Thursdays at the Manna House. Anyone can come for any amount of time between 1-6:30 pm.
Benevolence - If you are in need of financial assistance or other needs due to hardship, please see a deacon or contact needs@cornerstonehuntsville.org.
Ministry Opportunity - Interested in reaching out to our church members who need help with minor home improvements or repairs? If so, contact David Hoover at ddhoover53@gmail.com for more information.
Bookshelf Ministry - Be sure to check out this resource ministry upstairs near the balcony entrance. There are free books, tracts, and audio teaching CDs for you to take or give to someone.
