Dear Church Family and Friends,

This coming Tuesday, November 7, 2023, Providence Presbytery will hold its 59th stated meeting at Decatur Presbyterian Church in Decatur, Alabama. This meeting will be a momentous occasion for Cornerstone as our own John Summers will be coming forward to be examined for ordination to the Gospel ministry. Also, Chris Moody will be examined for licensure in Providence Presbytery.

We are grateful to God for this occasion and thankful for the Lord’s calling on these men’s lives. Please be in prayer for them as they are examined. Pray that God would strengthen them, give them wisdom, and that they would lean wholly on Him during their floor examinations.

I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

2 Timothy 4:1-5 ESV

By His grace and to His praise,

Pastor Wilson
