Newsletter | October 28, 2022

Dear Church Family and Friends,

A letter was mailed to the congregation a few weeks ago that detailed how the Session believes that the vision and long-term planning for Cornerstone should now be moved to McClung and that we use all the resources that the Lord has provided to invest in the future here. This would include master planning for additional buildings and other site improvements to further our mission to be a community of Christ’s followers who worship, grow, and serve together to glorify God in Huntsville and throughout the world.

The Session recognizes that this is a major decision and an act of faith as we seek to discern God’s will for the future of His Church. This has not only been an act of faith but an exciting journey as the Lord has not only done more than we could ask or imagine, but He has super-abundantly done more than we could have dreamed. Praise God from who all blessings flow!

This change in strategic direction will surely raise more questions and even concerns from the congregation. To help answer your questions and to hear feedback, this Sunday, October 30th, each of the Sunday School classes will hold a small group discussion facilitated by the elders and deacons. They are well informed and ready to discuss any questions or concerns you may have. Please make plans to attend.

See you Sunday!

By His grace and to His praise,

Pastor Wilson

Child Evangelism Fellowship. CEF is a Bible-centered organization composed of born-again believers whose purpose is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and to establish (disciple) them in the Word of God and in a local church for Christian living. Cornerstone is hoping to partner with CEF to start a Good News Club at Blossomwood Elementary School. Good News Club® is a ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship in which trained teachers meet with groups of children in schools, homes, community centers, churches, just about anywhere the children can easily and safely meet with their parent’s permission. You can learn much more by visiting cefonline.com. In the meantime, we are praying that God would raise up a leader and a group of missionaries from Cornerstone to lead this effort. If you are interested and would like to know more, please contact the church office.
