Newsletter | September 30, 2022

Dear Church Family and Friends,

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ … who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ!

God is faithful and good to His Church! I am happy to report to you that all the men who were on the ballot to be elected to serve as church officers have been elected by the congregation. Praise God from who all blessings flow!

The following men were elected:

  • To Ruling Elder: Jim Shorter, Paul Wendorf, and Michael Butler

  • To Deacon: Luke Powell, Walt Hodges, Andrew Mace, and Alan Ware

Please be in prayer for these men, their ministry, and their families.

On Sunday, October 23, 2022, these men will be ordained and installed as officers in the church. I love these important occasions as they serve as tangible reminder of the Lord’s promise to lead His Church. The ordination and installation will take place in the first worship service, followed by a reception in the Family Life Center during the Sunday School hour. During the second service we will pray for these men and recognize them. Please be in prayer for this momentous occasion.

Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have to give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with groaning, for that would be of no advantage to you. Pray for us, for we are sure that we have a clear conscience, desiring to act honorably in all things. (Hebrews 13:17–18 ESV)

See you Sunday!

by His grace and to His praise,

Pastor Wilson

Child Evangelism Fellowship. CEF is a Bible-centered organization composed of born-again believers whose purpose is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and to establish (disciple) them in the Word of God and in a local church for Christian living. Cornerstone is hoping to partner with CEF to start a Good News Club at Blossomwood Elementary School. Good News Club® is a ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship in which trained teachers meet with groups of children in schools, homes, community centers, churches, just about anywhere the children can easily and safely meet with their parent’s permission. You can learn much more by visiting cefonline.com. In the meantime, we are praying that God would raise up a leader and a group of missionaries from Cornerstone to lead this effort. If you are interested and would like to know more, please contact the church office.
