Pastor's Corner - Welcome Matthew Elliott

Dear Friends,After more than a year of prayer, searching and discerning, I’m happy to report to you that the Lord has raised up a man to serve on staff at Cornerstone as the Children’s Ministry Coordinator. Let’s give praise to God!Matthew Elliott is coming to us from the Jackson, MS area. He is currently serving as the Assistant Camp Director at Twin Lakes Camp in Florence, MS. Twin Lakes is a ministry of First Presbyterian Church in Jackson, MS. My children have attended this camp for many summers and have personally benefited from Matthew’s ministry.  Matthew will be working directly with Pastor Russ in coming alongside parents to teach our covenant children as they grow in their knowledge and love of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.Matthew is a graduate of Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS with a Masters of Divinity and Marriage and Family Therapy Counseling. He will also be pursuing a Ph.D. in Pastoral Theology with a ThM minor in Apologetics and Worldview at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Matthew grew up as a child in a PCA church. He loves the local church and is excited to come along-side our families and leadership to help the next generation know and praise the Lord.Matthew’s duties at Twin Lakes will end in July and he will join us at the beginning of August. The Session is enthusiastic about the addition of Matthew to the Cornerstone staff to serve our young children and families. Please be in prayer for Matthew as he ministers faithfully this summer at camp and prepares to transition to Huntsville.By His grace and to His praise, your friend,
Wilson
