Pastor's Corner - The Body of Christ

Brothers and Sisters, Let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works and not neglect to meet together, as is the habit of some. Let us encourage one another, and all the more as we see the Day of Christ return drawing near.  (Hebrews 10:24–25) Let us consider how good and pleasant when brothers dwell together in unity. (Psalm 133) Let us consider how we may function as the body of Christ, building one another up, using our gifts so that we all may grow in Christ. (Ephesians 4:15-16) Thank you to everyone who responded so graciously to the newsletter this past week and the encouragement to wear a mask. This past Sunday we had more people in worship than we have had since before the pandemic. This is a great blessing and is cause for us to continue to be vigilant as we are now in cold and flu season.  I'm very excited for our upcoming Thanksgiving Worship Service. On Sunday, November 22nd, we will gather as a church for one worship service on our property downtown on Meridian Street. This will be a wonderful opportunity for us all to be TOGETHER for one worship service at 10am. Please plan to arrive early to park and enjoy some donuts. Please also plan to stay afterward to fellowship. You are welcome to bring a picnic. Please dress casually and appropriately for the weather. We will have a tent, heaters, and some chairs but you may want to bring your own.  We are also preparing for Advent. The first Sunday of Advent will be November 29th. Our sermon series will be Ancient Christmas -- looking at the promises of the incarnation all throughout the Old Testament.  I look forward to seeing you Sunday!  By His grace and to His praise, Pastor Wilson
