Dear Friends,
What a blessing this weekend will be as many of our ladies will go on the first-ever Cornerstone Women's Retreat at Alpine Camp in Mentone, Alabama. Their theme for the weekend is Gain Rest IN Christ. I wanted to encourage us all to be praying for the women this weekend so here are some ideas:
- Wendy Dillon and the planning team
- Julia Friedman, speaker
- Moms away from their family
- Dads as they care for the children
- That our women would find rest and strength in Christ from the weekend
- That “the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you." (1 Peter 5:10 ESV)
- Rest in Jesus - “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28–30 ESV)
- That their eyes would be open to the wondrous things of God's Word this weekend - “Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of your law." (Psalms 119:18 ESV)
I'm so thankful for the godly women of our church and I am praying that this weekend would truly be a retreat for them. Please join me in praying for our sisters in Christ.by His grace and to His praise,Wilson |
