Pastor's Corner - Missions Trip 2015

Dear Friends,

Hopefully you have heard by now that this Sunday at 11am after Sunday School, we are going to have an informational meeting for the first ever Cornerstone short-term mission trip to the Yakama Indian Reservation in Washington state. I hope that you will consider joining me to learn more about this opportunity to serve.
In the Summer of 2005, I made my first visit to the Yakama Indian Reservation. Since then, I have visited almost a dozen times to serve with Sacred Road Ministries and to be a part of the amazing work of the Gospel going on there. The Yakama people are a wonderful people - yet they are a broken people. Only 2% of Native Americans claim to be Christians. In many ways, the Indians are our first neighbors. This trip will be a great opportunity to learn all that the Lord is doing in the Indian Reservations of our nation.
If you have never been on a mission trip, this trip provides an excellent way to be introduced to missions and to work along side a wonderful ministry.  Going to serve on a reservation all the way out in Washington state will feel like going to another country.
More details will be given out at the meeting. See you Sunday!

by His grace and to His praise,

Wilson
