Dear Friends,
This Sunday will be the last Sunday in our Vision and Values Sermon Series leading up to our 5th anniversary celebration on May 20th. It has been a joy to drill down into Acts 2:42-47 and remind ourselves what the purpose of the local church is and who Christ has called us to be. This Sunday we will study the last of our values: missions and outreach.Jesus was clear in His final words on earth. His final instruction can be summed up in one word, "GO!" “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19–20 ESV)Our Lord calls us to GO! Go into our homes, go in our neighborhoods, our cities, our counties, our states, our nation - into His world and share the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This Sunday we are going to look at what this looks like both biblically and practically for Cornerstone Presbyterian Church.
