Dear Friends,Spring is finally here and Easter is upon us! I'm excited that this Easter season we will have a series of messages on The Urgency of the Gospel in the Gospel of Mark. As many of you know the Gospel of Mark is the shortest of all four Gospel accounts and this is on purpose. An intentional theme that shows up in all the Gospels, but especially in Mark, is the immediacy, the urgency, the importance of the Gospel for right now. We MUST repent and believe that Jesus is the Christ, that He is Lord, that He is the one our hearts have always hungered for.Beginning Palm Sunday, April 14th, we will have worship at our regular time, 9:30am, and the children will be singing to open our service. The sermon text will be on Mark 11:1-19, Jesus's triumphal entry into Jerusalem.On Good Friday, April 19th, we will have a Communion Service beginning at 6pm. This will be an important time to reflect on the crucifixion of Jesus Christ for our sins. Our Scripture meditation for this evening will be Mark 15:21-41.On Easter Sunday, RESURRECTION SUNDAY, April 21st, we will have two services. A sunrise service at the new church property downtown (515 Meridian St.) at 7am. This will be a wonderful time to worship outdoors and fellowship afterwards over coffee and donuts. In the case of bad weather, the service will be moved to the current location for a 7:30am start time. In addition to the sunrise service, we will have a second worship service at our current location at 10am. At both services we will study the glory of the resurrection from Mark 16:1-8.Please make plans to join us as we celebrate our risen Savior this Easter!
