Dear Friends,
This Sunday will begin an eight week Communicants Class at Cornerstone. This class is designed to help young folks learn the basics of the faith and be prepared to take communion. I love teaching and leading this class. It is a wonderful discipleship tool we offer at Cornerstone for children and parents to learn and grow together and for them to interact with the pastors and elders.This class is designed to help children learn that faith in Christ is not just about a decision, it is about a walk and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Part of that personal relationship is knowing and understanding all the means of grace that God has afforded to His people to help them know Him and grow in relationship with Him. The Lord's Supper is a huge part of this! Therefore, we take the time and invest the resources as a local church body to help these children be prepared.Please be in prayer for these students, their parents and the elders as we disciple these young children, help them grow in their faith and be prepared for communing membership.Please also prepare your hearts this Sunday for the wonderful means of grace that communion is to our souls.“Let a person examine himself, then, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup.”(1 Corinthians 11:28 ESV)See you Sunday!Your friend and pastor,Wilson
