Pastor's Corner - Abounding In Christ
| Dear Friends, I hope that you have heard by now, but this past week we officially announced ABOUNDING, in Christ, for the city. We are praying that this generosity initiative will be used by God as we seek to build a new church facility on our downtown property. It is my hope and prayer that you will support Cornerstone’s ABOUNDING: in Christ, for the city” initiative. Your prayers, participation and financial support are greatly needed and valued. In the coming months and weeks, you will receive much more information about this project. If you have not received anything from ABOUNDING in the mail, please contact the church office. In the meantime, you can check the ABOUNDING website for current information and regular updates: CORNERSTONEABOUNDING.org. As we begin this new year, I want to tell you where we are headed with our sermon series in the new year: January: We will study Paul's pastoral letter to Philemon. This little letter is intimately connected to Colossians that we concluded last year, so it is nice follow up to that series. February: ABOUNDING will officially launch and we will have five Sundays that will focus on our mission and vision as a local church. March-April: "The I AM Sayings of Jesus". May-July: Psalms 25-36I cannot wait to study God's Word with you and am very excited about what God has ahead for Cornerstone! Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving. ~ Colossians 2:6–7 ESV Abounding in Christ.
