Pastor's Corner

Dear Church Family and Friends,

Please join me and giving thanks for the Lord's provision in providing a new staff member at Cornerstone, Desireé Hodges. Many of you know Desireé as a member of our music team and a volunteer with our youth ministry team.

As you may remember, we were searching for two people to fill two part-time positions at Cornerstone, a Communications Assistant and a Student Ministry Assistant. As we were praying and searching, God was also working in the Hodges' lives as well. The Lord began to stir in Desireé's spirit a possible career change but she wasn't sure what God was calling her to do.

For 15 years Desireé has served as a Physician's Assistant. Most recently she has been working at TOC (The Orthopedic Center) here in Huntsville. As she began to pray and wrestle about what was next, she saw the opportunities that Cornerstone was offering and thought, "I think I might be interested in both of those positions."

After several interviews and much discussion, the Session extended an offer to Desireé to join our church staff and she has accepted. We are delighted that the Lord has led us to this point. We thankful for how God has worked through this process.

Desireé will officially begin on staff at the end of June. She will be working in the office three days a week and discipling girls in our student ministry the rest of the week. We are excited and thankful for God's provision in all of this.

Please pray for Desireé and Walt in this new calling.

See you Sunday!

By His Grace and to His Praise,

Pastor Wilson
