Pastor's Corner
Dear Church Family and Friends,
 This next week, June 20-24, the 49th General Assembly of the PCA will be held in Birmingham, Alabama at the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex. This is one of the rare occasions when GA is hosted close to home. I want to invite you to visit GA if you would like to make a trip down to Birmingham. If you have never attended a GA worship service, then you are in for a treat! It is always so encouraging to worship with thousands of other brothers and sisters in Christ and to experience how large the body of Christ is!
Please be in prayer for the Assembly. Here are some ways you can pray.
- Please be in prayer for myself, Brian Russ, John Bise and Frank Cohee as we will be serving as commissioners from Cornerstone to the Assembly.
- Please be in prayer for REs John Bise and Frank Cohee as they have significant leadership roles at the denominational level.
- Please pray for a spirit of wisdom and unity at the Assembly.
- Pray that God would keep the PCA Faithful to the Scriptures, True to the Reformed Faith, and Obedient to the Great Commission.

Announcements
Landscaping help needed this Saturday! Landscaping work party this Saturday, June 18th, beginning at 8:30 and concluding by 11:00. We will lay some sod, plant the remaining bushes and complete the pine straw.
Communicant’s Class - A communicant’s class for children interested in joining Cornerstone will be offered this Fall. Prior to the class, the parent and child should consider reading and discussing Established in the Faith: 12 Conversations to Lead Your Child to Profess Faith in Christ. These are available in the foyer at no charge. Email brian@cornerstonehuntsville.org if you are interested in your child taking this class.
Men's Ministry - 1) Pancake Breakfast, Saturday, July 23rd, 7:30am. Cost: $3. Come learn about men's ministry at Cornerstone. 2) Reformer’s Cup Golf Tournament with local PCA Churches! Sunday, August 7th at 3:30pm on the Hampton Cove Short Course! 3:30pm Shotgun start with an awards dinner at 5:30pm. Best ball format. Costs: $40/ea. Entry fee proceeds go to benefit RUF at UAH and A&M in Huntsville. Register online: cornerstonehuntsville.org/events
Serving Opportunity with our Covenant Children - God has blessed us with many wonderful children at Cornerstone. This summer we are in need of volunteers to care for our children in the nursery. Bookshelf Ministry - Be sure to check out this resource ministry located in the Gathering Room. There are free books, tracts and other resources for you to take or give to someone.
Bikes for Students (service opportunity) - There are a few international students at UAH who are in need of a bicycle. There is a need for both women's and men's bicycles. If anyone has an old bicycle that they are willing to donate to InFocus, please contact Seth Waldecker at seth@paradigms.net. Bicycles in need of some repair might also be helpful depending on how much work needs to be done on them. Please make arrangements to drop them off at the church office.

- Pray for Cal and Dianne Brown in the death of Dianne’s brother Dave in North Carolina this week.

- Pray for mercy on St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Vestavia Hills, AL.
- Pray for Joni and Friends Camp and volunteers who will be serving June 27-July 1.
