LANDSCAPERS NEEDED THIS SATURDAY, April 30th: Mark Harbarger and the Deacon's Facilities & Grounds Committee need help planting 54 Hydrangeas this Saturday morning. If you can help, please meet us at the church at 8:30am Saturday (April 30th) with a shovel and gloves. The more help the quicker it will be done!

Please join us as we raise funds for 40 students, children and adults to serve at Joni & Friends Family camp this summer! Pastor's Corner
Dear Church Family and Friends,
One of the most important things that we can be doing as a church is praying with and for each other. Each week in this newsletter and in the church bulletin you will find ways to pray for your brothers and sisters, the ministries of Cornerstone, and our missional partnerships.
I wanted to highlight a few things you can specifically pray for now:
- Joni & Friends missions team. There are over 40 folks participating in this important ministry this summer. They need your prayer and support. Please pray for all the details. Please come to the cookout fundraiser to support!
- Vacation Bible School! VBS is such an important ministry for the church. This will be our first VBS at our new church home. It will be a blessing to have a larger facility to facilitate this ministry. Please be in prayer for the leaders and those who will come to hear the Gospel and grow in Christ.
- Providence Presbytery meeting on May 3rd. Please pray for wisdom for the leaders of our presbytery.
- General Assembly, June 20-24, 2022 in Birmingham. Please pray for unity, clarity and wisdom. Pray for Frank Cohee and John Bise who serve at the General Assembly level.
- Officer Training. Please continue to pray for the men and their families who God may call to serve as new officers at Cornerstone. Pray that God will make their calling clear. Please pray for the elders who will meet with these men to encourage and equip them. Please pray for our body, that we will “Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have to give an account.” (Hebrews 13:17 ESV)
- Church Staff. Please pray for your church staff. We aim to serve you and honor our Lord at His church. Pray that God will raise up new people to serve on our staff and fill our open positions.
Thank you for prayer. Let's remember that God's Word instructs us to “pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.” (James 5:16 ESV)

Cornerstone Softball - If you are interested in playing on a church softball team this summer please reach out to Paul McKelvey (205-960-4009 or pauldmckelvey@gmail.com) for more information and to sign up. Men and women welcome!
Wholly Fit! - LADIES (ages 16+} - come move your bodies and have some fun and fellowship with other ladies! Wholly Fit, a Faith-based fitness class, led by Susan DuPré, will meet in the gym every Thursday from 11:15-12:15. Expect a mix of cardio, Pilates, strengthening, balance, drumstick pounding, and stretching. All fitness levels, shapes, and size welcome and wanted! No perfection allowed! Bring a mat, water, and light hand weights, if you have them, and maybe a friend. Contact Susan at 256-797-7733 with questions.
Bikes for Students (service opportunity) - There are a few international students at UAH who are in need of a bicycle. There is a need for both women's and men's bicycles. If anyone has an old bicycle that they are willing to donate to InFocus, please contact Seth Waldecker at seth@paradigms.net. Bicycles in need of some repair might also be helpful depending on how much work needs to be done on them. Please make arrangements to drop them off at the church office.
