Dear Church Family and Friends,
Today was a bitter, sweet day as we say goodbye to Desireé Hodges serving on staff as our Communications Assistant. As many of you know, Desireé took an extended break from serving in the medical field to come on staff at Cornerstone. After some time away, the Lord brought her a new opportunity to go back to working as a Physician's Assistant. We know that God will use her to serve others in medicine. We are thankful that she continues to serve as a volunteer on the music and student ministry teams. Please join me in thanking Desireé for serving us so well this past year.
On that note, we are looking for someone to fill this position as the Communications Assistant at Cornerstone. If you know someone who might be interested in this position, please have them contact the church office: office@cornerstonehuntsville.org.
Chris Moody will be officially moving to Huntsville next week! Please in prayer for his move to Huntsville and for him as he begins his ministry at Cornerstone. Please pray for our staff during this time of transition and the search for new staff members to serve on our team.
In just a few weeks, Vacation Bible School will be upon us! This is a great opportunity to invite someone to church if they have children. Make sure you sign up soon!
Finally, as a reminder, we are sending out two short-term mission teams this summer. One to serve with the Joni and Friends Family Retreat and another to serve with Sacred Road Ministries on the Yakama Indian Reservation. These teams continue to ask for prayer as they prepare for these opportunities to serve. Additionally the teams are still raising funds for these trips. One way you can support these efforts is by purchasing a brand new Cornerstone T-shirt!
