Dear Church Family and Friends,

Praise the LORD! Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever! (Psalm 106:1 ESV)

We have so much to be thankful for that we probably need to start a Thanksgiving and praise list!

Let’s give thanks for this coming Sunday as we will ordain and install Mr. John Summers as an assistant pastor at Cornerstone. If you missed the earlier announcement, you can read it here. I love these special times in the life of our church. If you have never witnessed the very ancient ceremony of the laying on of hands, then you are in for a blessing as God raises up and calls men to serve in Gospel ministry. Please be in prayer for John as he takes up his new calling.

Additionally, this Sunday, we will feast together! It has been one of the earliest traditions of Cornerstone to gather at Thanksgiving time to fellowship and offer our gratitude to the Lord and each other. Here are some things we can be grateful for:

  • God's provision for Cornerstone! He has provided above and beyond for ministry.

  • Increased ministry with missional partnerships

  • A Family Life Center to worship while we await our space to be renovated

  • More people welcomed to the church family and called to faith in Jesus Christ!

  • The ongoing construction and renovations

Regarding construction and renovations, please continue to pray for wisdom and direction among our leadership with the parking lot expansion. Our leadership hopes to have a meeting later this year, but adding additional parking is turning into a campus improvement project with parking, a playground, a new entrance, landscaping, and drainage improvements. It is A LOT! Our civil engineers and building committee have been hard at work and this has turned out to be a complicated project. However, we know the Lord's hand is in this all as we seek to build and create something important to help us fulfill our mission and vision as a local church.

See you Sunday!

By His grace and to His praise,

Pastor Wilson
