Newsletter | december 2nd, 2022

Dear Church Family and Friends,

This Sunday we will celebrate the second Sunday of Advent. I can not wait for you to see the wonderful job our decorating team has done on decorating the church for Christmas. It looks fantastic! You will also notice some special ornaments on the tree in the sanctuary. They were all made with love by a team of ladies in the church led by Jo Ann Sneed. She wrote this to help capture the significance of these ornaments:

This year our tree is decorated with Chrismon ornaments which are monograms of Christ. The Chrismons are symbols from Christian history that tell us of God's plan for our salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. The Chrismons were made with a lot of joy and love by the women of our church. Hopefully, they will contribute to the spirit of worship in this Holy Season.

I wanted to also let you know about some other important opportunities regarding missions. Next summer there will be two different mission trips. If you are interested in hearing more about these trips or going on one of these trips, please plan to attend an interest meeting on Sunday, December 11th, 9:45am at the beginning of the Sunday School hour in the sanctuary. Next summer we will be sending teams back to serve at the Joni and Friends Family Retreat and the Yakama Indian Reservation with Sacred Road Ministries. Please see the announcement below for more details.

See you Sunday!

By His grace and to His praise,

Pastor Wilson
