Warrior Getaway serves American servicemen and women who have visible and invisible injuries as a result of military service. Veterans, along with their families, are provided a safe space for respite, spiritual renewal, and healing. Families experience fellowship with others facing similar difficulties and find new hope in Christ.

We are excited for the fall 2023 FOUNDATIONS class on Wednesday nights beginning September 20th, 2023 from 5:45-7:15 PM. It will run for six weeks, with a break on October 18th, and the last class is on November 1st.
This is a great opportunity to come together each week for food, fellowship, and foundations in God’s Word! There will be discipleship opportunities for children, students, and adults.

Jen Wilken’s 10-week study of 1, 2, and 3 John, and a 6-week video study of Jonah, led by Paige Brown of West End Community Church in Nashville, TN. Overview:
On Tuesday, July 25th at 9:30 am in the sanctuary, the Flower Guild is sponsoring a live floral demonstration by guest speaker Lisa Edwards, followed by lunch and a hands-on workshop. The focus will be on glorifying God in the worship service, but you can also use these ideas for your home. Emphasis will be on mechanics and how to use line and composition in your arrangement. All are welcome for any part of the day!

About Lisa Edwards, Guest Speaker
Lisa has been a successful interior decorator and floral designer in the Huntsville community for 20 years. She has been active in the flower guilds of Southwood and Central Presbyterian churches.
WHERE: Yakama Indian Reservation - just outside of Yakima, WA, 3 hours southeast of Seattle.
WHAT: Cornerstone Presbyterian Church is teaming up with Sacred Road Ministries (a PCA church and mission) on a mission trip to the Yakama Indian Reservation in Washington state. Construction/ clean up in mornings - VBS/ back-yard Bible club in afternoons.
WHO: Adults and students. Leaders are Kyle Mosier and Wilson Shirley.

WHEN: June 25-30th-We will leave after early service on Sunday, June 25th and caravan to Camp McDowell. It is about a 2 hour drive. We will have transportation available for students who attend without their parents. On Friday we finish up around lunch time.
WHERE: Camp McDowell, Nauvoo, Alabama
WHAT: Cornerstone will team up with Joni and FriendsMississippi. There are multiple serving opportunities available. This retreat is for families affected by disabilities. Students and adults ages 12 and up serve as buddies to either an individual with disabilities or a sibling of a person with disabilities. The goal is to provide a safe and fun week for that person so that the parents and caregivers can have an opportunity to participate in activities specifically planned for them. Some adults may be asked to serve in other roles such as nurses, Bible story leaders, recreation assistants, etc. Our hope is that anyone who attends from Cornerstone will be willing to serve wherever is needed!
WHO: Adults and students of all ages. Students ages 13 and below can attend with a parent. Children under the age of 12 will be assigned a buddy or will be in the MIT (Missionary in Training) program so the parent can be assigned arole. The MIT program allows the younger children to serve and learn about serving while still being supervised. Mrs. Paige teaches in the MIT program and it is awesome.
"Entrusted to be Invested" is a six week study on 1 Timothy published by the PCA Women's Ministry. Please join a small group to watch a short video and discuss the homework questions.
