Pastor's Corner - Transitions

Dear Friends,The mornings are getting cooler, school is back in gear and football season is here. Fall is a great time of transition after a busy, hot summer. At Cornerstone, we are about to start some transitions. A few weeks ago our children went to their new Sunday School classes. In just a little under two weeks, we will begin our Foundations Wednesday night ministry. I do hope that you and your family will consider joining us for this great time of fellowship and discipleship. It has been a wonderful summer preaching through Psalm 119. What a rich study it has been examining the longest chapter in the Bible that is about the Bible! If you are struggling spending time in God's Word, let me remind you that each 8 verse stanza of Psalm 119 is a wonderful way to daily feast upon God's Word and to begin a new spiritual discipline this new season. As we wrap up Psalm 119, we are transitioning into a new sermon series on Romans 8. I'm calling this, "The Greatest Chapter in the Bible" ... according to me at least. Why would I designate Roman's 8 as the greatest? It is simply because of the lofty truth and magnificent sovereign grace that we find in this chapter. The entire chapter is devoted to the assurance of salvation and the hope that we have in Christ. The entire chapter is dedicated to the wonders that we have in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I do hope that you will read and study Romas 8 for yourself and join me as we explore this wonderful chapter for the Fall semester.See you Sunday!by His grace and to His praise,Wilson
