Pastor's Corner - Town Hall

Dear Friends,

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. ~ Ephesians 3:20-21

I'm not sure there is a better truth for the life of Cornerstone right now than what is stated above by the Apostle Paul. The Lord truly is doing and has done "far more abundantly" than we could have asked or imagined. To Him be the glory in the church forever and ever!

This Sunday during the Sunday School (9:45am) hour we will have a town hall meeting to discuss our future and the unexpected journey that God has for us right now. Please make plans to attend as your leaders will present some important information for the congregation to consider.

Additionally, the Session has called a Congregational Meeting for Sunday, April 25th at 9:45am. The details are below.

Finally, we are giving thanks and praise to God that the pandemic is waning in our area. However, out of an abundance of caution, and so that everyone has an opportunity to worship safely, the Session is keeping the first service as masks required. Masks are optional at all other times.

See you Sunday!

By His grace and to His praise,

In preparation for the sermon:  "If Jesus can say, 'I have given them the glory that you gave me,' then what is the nature of the glory that the Father gave the Son? The answer to that question is straightforward: the glory the Father gave the Son was the glory of the humility of the incarnation, culminating both in the glorification of the Son at the crucifixion and in the glory of his resurrected and exalted state." - D.A.
