Pastor's Corner - Are you ready for battle?

Dear Friends,I trust that you had a wonderful holiday season and a Happy New Year! We have much to look forward to in 2017 and one of those things is the rich study and application of God's Word to our lives. We will be continuing this winter in our sermon series in Ephesians looking at The Christian Walk. Very soon, we will begin a new sub-series in this magnificent letter on The Armor of God, Ephesians 6:10-20. For centuries, this section in Ephesians has been some of the richest and most applicable words to believers as the Apostle Paul gives us a clear picture of what spiritual warfare really is and how we are to fight against the evil spiritual forces that plague not only our world, but our hearts as well.As we prepare to hear from God's Word, I simply ask you, do you believe you are in a battle? Do you believe that the greatest problems facing you right now are not temporal or physical, but spiritual? Are you equipped to handle the temptations and the onslaught of unrighteousness that can come at you at any moment from the world, the flesh and the devil? Are you ready for the battle?Join me as we work through these things and look to God to prepare us for spiritual warfare that is inevitable in our lives. Are you ready for the battle?See you Sunday for worship!
by His grace and to His praise,Wilson
