Pastor's Corner - A Life Well-Lived

Dear Friends,This past week our dear sister in Christ, Ann Lammons, passed from this life into the next where she now rests with her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Ann now knows in full what we only know in part (1 Corinthians 13:12). Please pray for our brother Aubrey as he mourns the loss of his dear wife of more than 61 years. Please also pray for Karen Hinshaw as she mourns the loss of her mother.I was incredibly blessed to know Ann. Her spirit and love for people and her church were contagious. She always had a smile on her face and was so warm to be around. The most contagious thing about Ann was that she loved the Lord - she told me and others this on numerous occasions. Up until her struggle with her health that started last Fall, Ann was often found on Tuesday mornings, studying God's Word with other ladies in the church, and still growing in her walk with Christ. I surely will miss seeing her as I know many of you will.Ann is the first person to go to be with the Lord in the short, three-year history of Cornerstone. How fortunate we were to have had her in our fellowship. How fortunate we were to see a life well-lived to the glory of God. How fortunate we were to see her and Aubrey show faithfulness in marriage for over 60 years! What a legacy she leaves of faith and love. We were blessed to know her. Let us rejoice and be glad that God gave us Ann. Let us celebrate her life and love for the Lord. This Saturday, from 1:00-2:00pm there will be a visitation followed by a memorial service at Laughlin Funeral home. Please make plans to join us. Please also be on the lookout for ways you can serve the Lammons and the Hinshaws this weekend. Please read Ann's obituary here. You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.  (Psalms 16:11 ESV)By His grace and to His praise, your friend,
