Pastor's Corner - Easter Celebrations

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

My family and I have enjoyed a nice Spring Break and I hope that you and yours have as well. I'm very grateful to my brother, Ralph Keel, for filling the pulpit for me while I spent some time away with family. We now turn our attention to the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ as this Sunday begins the glorious celebration known as Holy Week.

By way of reminder, this week we are going to take a break from our sermon series on Kingdom Living and look further in the Gospel of Matthew and view Easter through his eyes. Our study of Easter Through the Eyes of Matthew will begin on Palm Sunday, continue with a special communion service on Good Friday at 7pm, and wrap up with the joy of Easter morning. We will see Jesus as A Humble King, A Servant King, and A Risen King.Worship Notes for Sunday, March 29:

  • Passage of study this Sunday: Matthew 21:1-11
  • This Sunday we will sing the great hymn All Hail the Power of Jesus Name. Click here for a wonderful background story of this hymn.
  • Our children will be leading us this Palm Sunday with an opening song of praise, Hosanna, Loud Hosanna! I'm looking forward to seeing the palm branches waving.

by His grace and to His praise,
