Pastor's Corner
Dear Church Family and Friends,
As I write this newsletter, we are under a Winter Storm Warning ... again! Hard to believe that this can happen in March when just last week we were in shorts working in our yards.
Have you ever thought about all the places in Scripture that talk about snow? It is interesting to think about. Snow is often used as a metaphor to describe God's grace in some way.
Isaiah, the prophet of God, loved to use snow as an illustration of God's grace. Here a few examples:
- "Come now, let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool." Isaiah 1:18 (ESV)

"For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it." Isaiah 55:10–11 (ESV)
And one of the ways the Bible describes Jesus' purity and holiness is that when we see Him one day, His clothes and His hair will be as white as snow! (Matt. 28:3, Rev. 1:14).
So, if the Lord wills, and we get snow overnight, let's remember God's mercy to us in these things.

Bikes for Students (service opportunity) - There are a few international students at UAH who are in need of a bicycle. There is a need for both women's and men's bicycles. If anyone has an old bicycle that they are willing to donate to InFocus, please contact Seth Waldecker at seth@paradigms.net. Bicycles in need of some repair might also be helpful depending on how much work needs to be done on them. Please make arrangements to drop them off at the church office.
