Dear Church Family and Friends,
We give thanks to you, O God; we give thanks, for your name is near. We recount your wondrous deeds. (Psalm 75:1 ESV)
As we enter the season of Thanksgiving, we have much to be thankful for! There are many ways to recount the wondrous deeds of the Lord our God. I want to highlight some areas of ministry at Cornerstone for which we can give thanks.
I am thankful for our Nursery Ministry. Led by Christina Wendorf and her merry band of volunteers, our babies are well cared for and nurtured! This year, we have set records in the nursery, and all you have to do is look at our prayer list to see that more are on the way! Praise God for the blessing of children being born to our covenant families.
I am thankful for our Children's Ministry. Led by Mary Cooper and a wonderful team of volunteers, our children are being discipled to know and love Jesus with all their hearts. I am especially thankful for the doctrinal truths of the catechisms that our children are learning.
I am thankful for the Student Ministry. Led by Chris Moody and Morgan High, our students are being discipled and have some wonderful opportunities for fellowship. Pray that God would raise up godly leaders from this generation.
I'm thankful for the construction. While it has been a long journey, I am thankful that God has provided for us, kept our contractors safe, and we are now beginning to see our campus improvement plan take place.
I am thankful for our elders and deacons. God has been gracious to raise up godly men to lead and serve us. Join me in praying for the next men that God will call to serve and lead at Cornerstone.
I am thankful for our mission. The mission of Cornerstone Presbyterian Church is to be a community of Christ's followers who worship, grow, and serve together to glorify God in Huntsville and throughout the world. I am thankful for God's protection and guidance over us to be focused on the biblical values He has established for His church.
I am thankful for you! I am so blessed to serve and lead at Cornerstone. I am thankful to be a part of a church family that loves the Word of God and hungers to know God more. May God continue to give us a hunger and a thirst for righteousness.
This Sunday we will give thanks to the Lord for He is good and His steadfast love endures forever!
See you Sunday!
by His grace and to His praise,
