Dear Cornerstone Family,

This coming Sunday, we will be studying Psalm 78 in our sermon. It is one of the longest Psalms in the Bible, coming in at 72 verses! The big picture of the Psalm is that Asaph encourages the current generation to tell the generations to come about the glorious deeds of God, His might, and the wonders He has done (Psalm 78:4). Then he embarks on a history lesson that follows Israel from its time of slavery to Egypt to the reign of David, highlighting Israel's rebellion and God's continual faithfulness. I encourage you to read the whole Psalm before Sunday because we will focus on the first 8 verses as our main text while referencing the history lesson that spans verses 9 through 72 as we go.

As we look forward to Sunday, please continue to pray for Pastor Wilson on his sabbatical: for rest, renewal, and quality family time. We have passed the "halfway" point of the sabbatical, so we are looking forward to his return in late August. Please also continue to pray for the staff and officers, particularly as we have our regular monthly meetings coming up this week.

See you Sunday!

Pastor Brian
